The Portuguese singer Claudisabel died this Monday. The information was confirmed by her label Nucafé Records on the artist’s official Facebook page
In a short statement, the label said the artist died “after a car accident”: “Her voice, joy and frankness that characterize her leave poorer the Portuguese music and all who had the opportunity to know her and be with her,” it adds.
According to CNN Portugal, the singer was involved in an accident on Highway 2 in the early hours of Monday morning. Twelve vehicles and twenty-four operatives were involved in the rescue. There was one injured.
Claudiaisabel was born in 1982 and released her first album in 1995 with the title “Dizias Tu, Pensava Eu” (País Real Produções, 1995). “Não Vou Voltar A Chorar”, “Preciso D’Um Herói” or “Super Apaixonada” are some of the artist’s biggest hits. In 2010, she participated in the Festival da Canção, with the song “Contra Tudo E Todos”. She was 40 years old.
