Soccer agent convicted of assaulting image reporter

The soccer agent Pedro Pinho was convicted this Tuesday, due to an aggression of the TVI image reporter Francisco Ferreira. The case happened in 2021, after a match between Moreirense FC and FC Porto

According to CNN Portugal, Pinho was sentenced to two years in prison, with a suspended sentence for the same period, in addition to having to compensate the journalist. This sentence comes in addition to the punishment handed down by the Portuguese Football Federation’s Disciplinary Board, which suspended Pinho for four months and fined him 3,600 euros. However, this punishment was annulled by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, which ruled that the businessman was not registered as a sports agent, removing the authority of the sports entities to punish him

It is recalled that the agent assaulted the journalist on the night of 27 April 2021, having assaulted the professional and addressed him several threats and insults
