Soajo Interpretation Centre opens next week

    The municipality of Arcos de Valdevez will inaugurate this Monday, August 15, the Interpretative and Ethnographic Centre of Soajo

    Budgeted at around 160 thousand euros, the new centre is located in the Casa da Câmara, in largo do Eiró in Soajo and aims to house “thematic exhibitions that will promote the historical and ethnographic legacy of Soajo, through an interpretative speech that is accessible to schools, tourists and the local community itself”, referred the local authority in February this year, when the adaptation works of the building were concluded, underlining that the project intended to “value and promote the vast and rich cultural heritage of Soajo, as well as strengthen its local identity and attract visitors, boost trade, restaurants and tourism”.

    The inauguration is scheduled for 6:30pm.
